Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) provides a wide range of services for business and industry
including: work site and job assessment, staff training and consultation services, employee
assessment and screening, and job matching and follow-up services. CWT supports Veterans through
vocational case management and workplace supports to facilitate continued employment success. In
conjunction with the CWT program, industry can expand its applicant pool and develop a
pre-screening opportunity for future employees.
The VA's mission is to find employment opportunities that match the skills, abilities and preferences
for the Veterans we serve. To achieve this mission, we develop partnerships with companies,
organizations and government agencies who need workers with proven abilities to produce high
quality work and become a valued team member.
Job skills training and employment readiness are major components of a returning resident's
successful reentry. A significant percentage of people who enter prison are not employed at the time
the crime was committed. The utilization of career and technical education programs by returning
residents greatly improves their marketable skills.
Geaux4Green is proud to partner with HVRP as an employee resource. HVRP assists in reintegrating homeless veterans into the workforce by helping them obtain and maintain employment. Their focus on job train training principles, resume building, & money management give our homeless veterans the tools they need succeed in the workplace. HVRP also assists with transportation and work attire such as boots, tools and fees to ensure they have the resources available to help them not only become a reliable and long-term employee but also re-enter the mainstream community.
